We are proud to be one of the most diverse clubs in the County. Amongst our playing personnel are Nationalities consisting of Polish, Bulgarian and Lithuanian. We are also one of the only clubs in Leicestershire to have a female player in our ranks, along with a thriving Junior Section. So whatever your age, Nationality, race or religion, chess is a diverse hobby (or sport – different discussion!) and you can be sure of a warm welcome when you come to our club.
Our website is full of content, where all of our supporters, friends and even adversaries will be able to find updates on our teams, as well as a growing gallery of photos from club nights, competitions and events. In addition, in our blog section, we will discuss chess principles, favourite chess games and the history of the game we all love.
Come and join us at Anstey Methodist Church Centre (Cropston Road, Anstey, Close to the Nook) from 7pm on Thursday evenings, where you can play casual chess games against our members or delve into the depths of competitive league chess by representing one of our 3 Leicestershire league teams. We have members with a wide range of abilities from beginner to more advanced, so you will be sure to get a competitive game, whatever your ability may be.
